Columbine Poets of Colorado is a state poetry society in Colorado and is proud to be affiliated with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. Our mission is to promote the writing and appreciation of poetry among all ages across Colorado.

Columbine Poets Inc. is an exceptionally active state society. Our statewide activities include sponsoring both adult and student poetry contests every year. In the Denver metropolitan area, the Foothills Chapter holds weekly workshops on Saturday mornings. Every year the society sponsors a Poetry Festival full with readings and workshops by well known poets. Over the years we have published 10 chapbooks from our national chapbook contests. In 2008 we published an anthology of our members' poetry, entitled Thirty Years or Thirty Miles From Here and is available for purchase. The cost is $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members. Orders can be sent to the address below.

Membership in Columbine Poets automatically makes one a member of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. The fee for state and national membership is $25.00. Benefits include a newsletter with numerous contests and discount fees. All members receive a discount on all state and national contest fees. Please visit the Membership page for additional information.
